Here is what we call the character design stage which is pretty much one of the most integral part of any illustrated
book, comic, graphic novel or animation project. When you create a story the story will have characters in it but before you go about creating
a comic or even a cartoon the people working on the project first need to know what the characters look like as a point of reference to look upon.
This can be extremely useful if you are working with artists who may not speak the same language as you as this can help to fill in the void due to any
communication gaps. In any case what you are thinking in your head about the look of your character needs to translate visually and that is where I come in.
Along with examples I have provided a price list that will show you exactly what you get for your money, I can draw different styles but I decided to show these
images of mine to help make things clearer. It doesn't matter if it is a comic book character you want or even a more kid friendly version that you want for a
childrens book the principle is still the same.

Kids cartoon Character design style
This is a character design style that is better suited for childrens books and cartoons. I use a simplistic look so that children can gravitate to them easier. I provide four
angles for the character by using any existing material of the character as a reference and proceed to redesign the character in my art style making it as close to the original
concept as possible. Once this is done I can then refer to this when illustrating another book or animation for the client which helps to avoid having to do lots of revisions.
For this style you get full colour like what you see in the image provided above, I will send you a physical printed version of the work as well as a digital version sent to your email.
All I need to perform this task is all the reference materal for the character including dress code and then I can get started. Check my contact details here
for any further questions otherwise if you already know exactly what you are looking for just email your reference material to me at info@waynerileyart.com and you can pay via paypal
but clicking this button below. Turnaround time is typically within 7 days after sending me all the information on the character.

Comic book and cartoon character design
2 angled design
This is basically two sides of the character the front and back and for absolutely free I provide four different sides of their head. This requires a lot more detail than
the example above therefore you will notice it has more line work than the previous example above and I also only provide the line work unless colour is requested which
I can provide at an extra cost.

Extras
Sometimes just a simple character design isn't enough as some people want to see more of their character so at an extra cost I can add a little extra.
|
Facial Expression sheet
I can add an extra 6 facial expressions of the same character to show extra depth to their persona (this is only an additional option that can only be
obtained if you've already paid for an existing character design package.

Colour stage
This is what really gives the characters a polished and complete look, one that makes your character look good enough to be in a comic book, illustrated book
or animation. If you are hiring another artist to do illustrations for you or even animation they would use these images as a clear reference so they have the look as
well as the colour. Once you have a library of all your characters designed like this you are ready to move on to getting your work put in actual book
pages or storboarde for animation. Once this extra option is selected all art I have drawn will be coloured.
£80 to £200 (depending on how much needs to be coloured) This price is based on one character design any additional characters will mean applying the same
cost again.
